BoomerJack’s Bar & Grill in Lake Worth, Texas, is more than your typical sports bar — it’s an elevated video experience. With a slogan like, “A restaurant like your backyard but way more awesome,” BoomerJack’s lives up to its promise with an all-day happy hour, an unbeatable drink lineup, and a welcoming atmosphere that keeps patrons coming back. Privately owned by entrepreneur Brent Tipps, who was named 2017 Entrepreneur of Excellence by Fort Worth Magazine, the venue has become a favorite for sports fans and foodies alike. For BoomerJack’s, ensuring every guest has the best seat in the house was a priority. To bring this vision to life, they turned to Save Electronics, a trusted AV integrator known for delivering top-tier video solutions powered by Just Add Power.
Challenge
With 60 TVs and a stunning video wall featuring a central display flanked by two vertical screens on each side, BoomerJack’s needed an AV system that could deliver flawless performance across its sprawling venue. Ensuring a consistent, lag-free viewing experience for every guest was a significant challenge, especially given the diversity of seating—from indoor booths and bar seats to the patio’s eight outdoor bars.
The venue’s 15 video sources, including Apple TV, DirecTV, and digital signage, added another layer of complexity. BoomerJack’s required an AV solution that allowed any source to be displayed on any screen with seamless switching and interoperability with the restaurant’s Crestron control system. Additionally, reliability was crucial in a high-traffic environment where technical hiccups could disrupt the customer experience. Finally, BoomerJack’s wanted the flexibility to expand the system sources or displays in the future.
Solution
To meet these demands, Save Electronics relied on its go-to AV-over-IP solution: Just Add Power. The installation includes 75 Just Add Power 3G Ultra receivers, enabling the distribution of pristine video in up to 4K resolution to every display, including the video wall. The ecosystem’s 3G Ultra transmitters manage the venue’s 21 sources.

The Just Add Power system ensures video is distributed without lag or quality loss. It supports 4K Ultra HD content and HDCP 2.2 over a standard 1Gb network. Plus, built-in scalers on the receivers allow seamless integration of both 4K and 1080p displays or video walls, ensuring consistent performance across the venue. Staff can easily see what’s playing on the screen from the Crestron control system, thanks to Just Add Power’s image pull feature, and allowing them to route any content to any screen at any time.
The system’s scalability allows BoomerJack’s to easily add more screens or sources in the future by simply adding a transmitter or receiver and connecting it to an available port in the Netgear AV switch — no system overhaul required.
