Just Add Power’s MaxColor 4K60 Series and Field-Modifiable KVM Transmitters Bring Home CEDIA Expo Awards

SEMINOLE, Fla. Oct. 13, 2022 — Just Add Power, a leader in video-over-IP distribution, announced the win of two prestigious industry awards at CEDIA Expo 2022 in Dallas. The MaxColor 4K60 Series received a BEST Award in the AV-over-IP switchers category from CE Pro magazine, and the company’s 718KVM and 749KVM field-modifiable transmitters took home Best of Show honors from Residential Systems magazine.

The 2022 BEST Awards highlight products and services that are genuine difference-makers in the residential AV and custom install industry, enabling integrators to sustain and grow their businesses. Winners were selected by a panel of judges with no affiliation to the nominees. The MaxColor series was previously honored with a Best of Show award at ISE 2022 in Barcelona. The Residential Systems Best of Show awards recognize outstanding products exhibited at the CEDIA Expo. Winners were selected by panels of professional users and editors and were judged through the lens of the residential integrator.

“This was a CEDIA to remember: Attendees not only got to see our MaxColor in person but also how we’ve applied our engineering expertise in scalability to blast through any longstanding supply chain dilemmas,” said Taft Stricklin, sales team manager at Just Add Power. “These awards are great recognition of all the talent and dedication invested in bringing these solutions to the market.”

The MaxColor 4K60 transmitter and receiver natively support 4K60 in and out, allowing end users to play ultra HD video from the growing number of 4K sources and devices now available. With MaxColor 4K60, video at 12-bit color and 4:4:4 chroma can be distributed over existing Cat 5/Cat 6 cable, eliminating the expense of upgrading to fiber and buying costly network switches. In addition, the transmitter and receiver support MPEG downstreaming for connected devices including laptops and tablets. The series delivers instant and seamless switching, 4K up- and downscaling, and HDR management while supporting all lossless audio formats and Dolby Vision for the best viewing experience. Additional features include image pop, push, and pull, as well as 90-degree image rotation for landscape and portrait modes.

Just Add Power’s new 718KVM and the rackmount 749KVM will replace the out-of-stock 718AVP and 749AVP indefinitely. Like the AVP models, the new PoE transmitters encode signals from a 4K or lower-resolution source device into an IP signal that is sent over the network with ultra-low latency and instant switching; support HDCP 2.2 and USB 2.0; and feature image pull, 3.5 mm stereo audio output with adjustable delay, and RS-232, IR, and CEC control of sources. With the now-shipping chipset upgrade, the 718KVM and 749KVM enable Dolby DSP and the re-encoding of Dolby Digital 5.1 as Dolby Pro Logic II for HDMI distribution to both multichannel and stereo audio zones, and they provide two analog audio inputs that are mixable with HDMI audio.
