Just Add Power says its new 2GΩ/3G+ Ultra HD over IP devices it’s displaying at InfoComm 2017 allow integrators to scale systems to match applications and solve 4K upgrade challenges.
At InfoComm 2017, Ultra HD over IP solutions provider Just Add Power is highlighting additions to its family of 2GΩ/3G devices. It will showcase the new 2GΩ/3G+ Power over Ethernet (PoE) VBS-HDMI-715POE transmitter and VBS-HDMI-515POE receiver.
Just Add Power writes in a press release that the solutions allow integrators to build a scalable and cost-effective infrastructure to distribute sources up to 1080p resolution or meet evolving 4K requirements by mixing and matching devices, with 2GΩ devices on 1080p sources and 3G on 4K sources.
“Integrators are challenged to meet the needs of 1080p resolutions and 4K sources in one install, and they might have customers contemplating an upgrade to 4K in the future,” says Taft Stricklin, sales team manager, in the press release.
“We designed the 2GΩ/3G+ devices as an affordable solution that bridges this gap, scaling the devices as needed and as project requirements change. These two new devices expand on the 2GΩ/3G’s versatility, providing a true systems approach to today’s video demands.”

The new 2GΩ/3G+ PoE models combine the enhanced audio and feature set of the 3G system with the maximum 1080p resolution of 2G devices. Both also boast support for 1080p video with HDCP 1.4, all lossless audio formats including Dolby Atmos®, control endpoints with RS-232 and IR (using VBS-HDMI-IRD), stereo audio output with 170ms audio delay, CEC control, and image play capabilities.
The receiver features integrated scaling, enhanced video wall with rotation option, and USB 2.0 over IP. The transmitter offers HDMI pass-through and USB 2.0 functionality.
